Using Eye Wrinkle Cream To Cure Non-Eye Wrinkles
Many people have fallen under the impression that eye wrinkle cream can be utilized on various parts of the body. Despite what you may have heard, eye wrinkle cream is not suitable for use on parts of the body not in the immediate vicinity of the eyes. If you’re already using eye crème on other parts of your body, we suggest you stop. It won’t be long before you discover that the crème is unable to combat wrinkles in those areas.
The skin in and around our eyes is quite different from the skin we find on other parts of our body. Instead of being able to tolerate abuse, the skin in our eye area is delicate and reflects any damage (whether it be caused by the sun or other external forces) quite quickly. This damage accumulates over the years and ends up wreaking havoc on our ocular skin. Thus, this skin is the first to shed the initial signs of aging – which would explain why many are diligent in trying to shield it.
Eye wrinkle creams are specifically designed to prevent the delicate skin from under your eyes from developing wrinkles. Their formulation does not allot them the ability to keep other areas of our skin wrinkle free. As we’ve said above, you’re free to experiment with the crèmes on other parts of your body, but we warn you that the outcome will be less than promising.
As we’re on the subject of where you shouldn’t apply your eye crème, we want to make it clear that it’s not a good idea to apply the crème to your actual eyelid. These crèmes are supposed to be applied in and around you eye area – as in under you eye and on it’s inner corners. Applying the crème to your eyelid will cause some irritation (considering that some of the crèmes contain acids) and may land you in the emergency room. Be smart and apply the crème patiently and attentively.
Although we’ve managed to discourage those planning to use eye cream in all the wrong places, we haven’t provided them with a solution for preventing wrinkles in vulnerable areas. As a general rule, we recommend that people use sun block anytime they plan to venture outside. The sun block will protect your skin from the sun’s UV rays and will thus preserve its wrinkle-free appearance.
We also recommend that you keep your skin moisturized with an appropriate lotion. Notice how we said appropriate – not all moisturizing lotions are the same. You need to purchase one that fits you needs (ie. if you’re purchasing one for your face, you need to get one that is not high in oil content) and won’t bring about further problems. There are plenty of resources available online to guide you in what you should look for in a lotion. Alternatively, you can contact your dermatologist.
In closing, we hope that we’ve convinced you that eye wrinkle cream is not the solution for all bodily wrinkles. Stick to using the crème for your eyes, and begin to utilize the appropriate products to keep other parts of your body looking young. This, in the end, will bring about the best outcome.
